Fine hospitality is well known on the Wartberg hill. Even the founder of the Hasenmayer was the son of a Pforzheim gastronom who was well-known for his exellent quality food and service as well as his generous hospitality and comfortable ambience.
This son of a coffee-house dynasty ( his grand parents and parents had some cade´s in and around Pforzheim ) had the idea to change a farmhouse into a coffee-house on top of the Wartberg in 1926. After this transformation he established a bus connection from the main station to the Wartberg.
